Description
This French artist, born in Chambéry in Savoie, is an important female figure in the surrealist movement of the second half of the twentieth century. After having painted expressionistic landscapes for a long time, her career changed in 1960. An almost hypnotic influence emerges from his works. Dreamlike compositions. Superimpositions of arithmetic figures. Squares, rhombuses, triangles with effects of camaïeux, referring to constructivism and cinétism. A whole imaginary world, bathed in an unusual light, in the midst of desolate and hieratic spaces. A real metaphysical painting, in the tradition of the great ones, like Max Ernst, Yves Tanguy and Chirico. The works of this artist increasingly sought after by specialists, are found in many national museums and in the contemporary art collection of Société Générale.
